The teen would sit upon the old wooden bench, looking upon the garden as a stern feminine voice continued their lecture. The girl beside him was definitely none other than his lovely sister like figure, Natalie. As usual she was trying to get the point across that he should be a lot more careful. Though he knew what he was doing, Vaan was a rather easily distracted, overly energetic individual that had a tendency to forget that he was still human. And humans can die. Or worse and be killed by an oni, like Natalie's actual sister. It's not like I've lost to an oni yet.As long as I don't push myself past my limit. The teens thoughts echoed. Despite being relatively new, he was still quite better than the average newbie to this. He had decent stamina and was quite agile. He's even noticed the small progress he's made with using the shuriken.  Zoning in and out of her words, Vaan would simply look at her and give a giant grin. Don't worry about me. I'm getting better with every oni! I promise I'm careful. He looked forward again as he stood up from the bench to take a small stretch break from stiffly sitting in place for so long. This time he was actually listening to whatever Natalie was now saying.
